| Wijngoed informatie | "The Valdugas started to plant the first vines soon after Arriving from Rovereto in Italy. And so began the saga of the Valdugas in Brazil, which continued with subsequent generations. The caring, careful, intelligent and courageous work prospered. Today Casa Valduga is one of the biggest attractions in the Vale dos Vinhedos, in the municipality of Bento Gonçalves, 120 kilometers from Porto Alegre. A place surrounded by mountains, 671 meters above sea level, retaining the enchantment of the culture of wine. Casa Valduga also has vineyards in Encruzilhada do Sul, in the southwestern uplands of Rio Grande do Sul. The grapes from this region are very healthy, due to favorable climatic factors, which are essential for producing great wines. The winerys own vineyards in the Vale dos Vinhedos and Encruzilhada do Sul, produce fine strains of grapes from imported and certified plants, obtained from refined planting techniques, using the espalier growing system, production control and selective harvesting, which reach the highest quality standards. Investments in modern technologies and equipment have been incorporated into knowledge and tradition. To maintain their excellent quality, the wine varietals receive special care. The vintage reds mature in oak casks, after which they are moved to the appropriate cellar, acquiring a fine bouquet. While the whites rest in stainless tanks for a short period, to retain their primary aromas, and can be drunk while still young.Casa Valduga devotes special attention to the production of sparkling wines, being one of the first Brazilian vineyards to develop and dominate the champenoise winemaking process.Today it has one of the largest cellars of sparkling wine in Latin America, investing in products with a standard of excellence that is now internationally recognized. From the entry of the grape until bottling, Casa Valduga wines receive all the attention needed for them to retain the characteristics of each variety. With limited production, Casa Valduga is among the best wineries in the country. All this work has become recognized through obtaining more than 100 national and international awards. Marketing its products in Brazil in specialist stores, hotels and restaurants only, exportation has also enabled Casa Valduga to conquer palates in other continents. Diversification has led Casa Valduga to set up a natural juice and conserves production unit, the Casa de Madeira, located one kilometer from the winery. With innovation and creativity, Casa Valduga has built the first Enotourism Complex in Brazil. It has installed welcoming guesthouses next to the winery in the Vale dos Vinhedos, with a view of the vineyards and a thematic garden to welcome visitors. The tourist complex also has the Dom Luigi and Persona thematic restaurants. All the delights of Italian cuisine are brought to the table in a welcoming and stimulating atmosphere, with cheerful shows by singing and folkloric groups.Visitors can make a stimulating tour of the inside of the winery, which includes tasting courses, finding out about all the production stages for wines and sparkling wines." |
