The colour is medium brick red that is bright and vibrant. It is a generous wine with black cherries, blackberries and rich mocha aromas. There is also an interesting smoky hint of oak on the nose. The palate is soft and rounded without any obvious oak dominance.Made in the true Barossa tradition showing strong varietal characteristics, it is a fruit-driven style that is soft and packed with ripe, spicy fruit flavours.Ross Estate Barossa ValleyThe grapes for this wine were grown on two blocks of very old vines (75 & 90 years), which are situated on the Ross Estate Vineyard at Lyndoch. These vines are on a low-trellis and are very low yielding, at 1.5 tonnes per acre.

Ross Estate is but a part of the rich history of Lyndoch.The story of Ross Estate dates back (as far as can be ascertained) to at least the end of the 19th century when it was a general farm as well as vineyards and a cemetery.
